What can I do with my old broken petroleum wetsuit? We asked ourselves the same question and at a lack of a seamless solution we started the Turtl Project Wetsuit Recovery Program.
Neoprene is a very flexible, lightweight, long-lasting material. This program focuses on leveraging these characteristics to create new products from recovered wetsuits. This removes petroleum wetsuits already in circulation and prolongs the materials life avoiding a premature end in a harmful landfill, or worse, the Ocean.
To minimize pollution from transportation emissions, currently we can only accept wetsuit donations from the US and Europe (see addresses below). Unfortunately, we are not able to cover shipping costs for individual donations. However, if you have a bunch of wetsuits to recycle, please reach out to us at support@turtlproject.com.
