How to chose the perfect surfboard.
There are several different types of boards, each designed for specific conditions and skill levels.
Most common type are Shortboards, usually between 5’6 and 7’0 feet. They are designed for advanced surfers and are used in a wide range of conditions, from small waves to large waves. They are known for their maneuverability and responsiveness.
Other common type are Longboards, usually between 9'0" and 11'0" feet. They are designed for beginners and intermediates, and are best used in small to medium-sized waves. They are known for their stability and ease of use.
In between Shortboards and Longboards we have Funboards, between 7'0" and 8'6" feet. They are designed for intermediate surfers and are best used in small to medium-sized waves. They are known for their versatility and maneuverability.
Similar to shortboards but with a fish-shaped tail and generally smaller we have Fish boards. They are designed to be ridden in a variety of conditions, but are particularly well-suited to small, weak waves. They are known for their speed and maneuverability.
The longest surfboards, usually over 8 feet are Gun Surfboards. They are designed for experienced surfers and are used in large, powerful waves. They are known for their speed and ability to handle big waves.
Last but not least, Hybrid surfboards are a combination of different types of surfboards, typically a mix between shortboard and longboard. They are designed for intermediate surfers and are best used in small to medium-sized waves. They are known for their versatility and ease of use.

Our tip is that before buying a new surfboard, try to avoid consumerism taking into account how much you will use it and remember that you can always rent or buy second-hand boards.
